This article explains how guardians can view a student's attendance in Skyward Family Access. You can view attendance for the current school year, including absences and tardies, attendance totals, attendance type and reason, and detailed information for each attendance record, such as the class and any available comments.

Overview (heading 2)
Student attendance displays any absences or tardies recorded for the student and the date they were recorded for the current year. Attendance totals are displayed with the attendance type and reason for each period of where an absence or tardy was recorded. As a guardian, you can view attendance for the current year. When you open the attendance record, you can view the Attendance Type, Reason, Class, and Comments for the selected record.

Only a student's guardian can view attendance information in Skyward Family Access. If you are unable to view your student, please contact your student's school for assistance.
- Sign in to Skyward Family Access.
The Family Access home page displays tiles for each of your students.

Select the Attendance tile.
You can select the Attendance tile under a specific student's name or under the View All Students section. To switch to a different student, select the student's name in the upper-left corner of the screen.
The Student Attendance page displays attendance information for the current school year, including:
- Absences and tardies by date
- Attendance totals
- Attendance type and reason code for each affected class period
- A Comment icon (C) when an office or teacher comment is attached to the attendance record

Select the Details icon (circle with an arrow) next to the attendance record you want to view.
The Student Attendance Details page displays additional information for the selected attendance record, including:
- Attendance date
- Class period
- Attendance type
- Attendance reason
- Class
- Office comments (if applicable)
- Teacher comments (if applicable)
You have successfully viewed the attendance record and its associated details.
