Create a ParentSquare Post from a Template

Overview

ParentSquare provides the ability for teachers to create post using standard and custom templates, and the instructions below will walk you through the steps required.

Instructions

  1. From Home, click New Post
  2. Click the To field: enter name of class, group, grade, or school, and select list
  3. Confidential post (optional): click the Eye Slash icon in the upper right. 
    Note: Confidential Groups and Posts are an option for both sensitive group names or sensitive content in posts. You can hide whom the communication was sent to from others not in the group. 
  4. Who should see this? Select parents, teachers, and, staff
  5. Subject: enter subject of message
  6. Description
    1. Click the More Rich (+) icon in the editor toolbar
    2. Click the Use Template icon
    3. Sekect a template from the drop-down menu
    4. Use the text editor control panel to alter text as needed
  7. Select Notification Options for post
  8. Click Post Now, a pop up window asks you to confirm post, click Post Now OR, schedule a post to send at a later date, Save Draft, or Preview post. 
    Note: if it is after 6:00 PM and you want to send out a same day post, click "Send instantly." Otherwise, digest email and text users will receive the post the following day. 
  9. Confirm that your recipient numbers are correct and click Post Now. 
  10. See confirmation in the green bar that the post was created. You will see other options for your post in the right sidebar. 

ParentSquare will automatically send you an email if a user comments on your post. You will also receive an Activity Log every 24 hours after the post
