Customize Tiles in Family Access

OverviewFAQAdditional Resources

Overview (heading 2)

Family Access is a secure online portal that allows guardians to stay informed by viewing important student information, including attendance, schedules, grades, fees and payments, food service balances, student profile information, and other important school-related details.  The Family Access dashboard contains tiles that provide quick access to the features you use most frequently. You can personalize your dashboard by adding, removing, and rearranging tiles to create a layout that best meets your needs.

FAQ (heading 2)

Only a student's guardian can view student information in Skyward Family Access.  If you are unable to view your student, please contact your student's school for assistance.

Having tiles on your dashboard enables you to create shortcuts to the screens you use most.  You can further customize those tiles.

1.  Sign in to Skyward Family Access.  Click the link:  Skyward Student or type the URL:  student.canyonsdistrict.org

  • The Family Access home page displays tiles for each of your students.

2.  Click Customize Tiles located in top right of your screen.  (If you are in View All, look to the right of one of your students.)

  • On the Customize Tiles Settings screen, you can click Customize Tile View to see a list of tiles that can be enabled or disabled for your view on your dashboard.  If you wish to return your screen to its default settings, you can click Reset Tiles near the top right of the screen.
  • If you would like to change the order that the tiles display, you can click the Reorder Tile Settings option near the top right of the Customize Tiles screen.  If you are unable to uncheck a tile within the Customize Tiles screen, the District has disabled that functionality for that specific tile.
  • Any changes you make are saved automatically, so when you finished enabling and disabling tiles, you can return to the dashboard to view your changes.
